Now Hiring: Public Horticulture & Engagement Unit Leader

After a reorganization, the National Arboretum is thrilled to announce that our Public Horticulture & Engagement Unit Leader position has been advertised!

This position provides vision and leadership in developing and implementing objectives that enhance our science and education efforts, leveraging public and private stakeholder synergies to fulfill the Agricultural Research Service mission. As the name implies, the position will administer programs related to horticultural and educational activities on the grounds of the National Arboretum, including the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum. In short, the core functions of the National Arboretum as we engage over 700,000 visitors a year in the Nation’s capital.

This is a full-time position that reports to the Director of the U.S National Arboretum and serves as Acting Director when necessary. Starting salary of $139,395 (federal GS-14), with full benefits.
