We must close our grounds in order to move our offices back into the newly renovated Administration Building. The movers must be able to travel between the various locations where offices and stored furniture and files are located. This completes the two-year renovation of the historic 1960s building that houses the Arboretum's DC campus offices, visitor center, and herbarium. The project was made possible through the 2009 Recovery Act Funds awarded to the Agricultural Research Service for modernization projects. The Arboretum had a "shovel-ready plan" for updating the infrastructure of its administration building. Improvements include a more open lobby space, new classroom, additional public restroom facilities, and a catering kitchen. We apologize for the inconvenience to our visitors on the days that we move, but hope that you will plan a visit afterwards to see our exciting new space!
